A 91-year-old man was found dead walking outside his home on Christmas night, according to Ty Blackwell, deputy coroner for the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office. He went out of his house around 10:00 on Sunday night to try to fix a broken water pipe. Henry then went back inside to change his wet clothes and back to work outside, he said. Deputies and K-9 officers searched the area of Hartview Circle on Monday after Henry was reported missing.Temperatures throughout the night. Henry’s death was ruled accidental due to exposure to cold weather.
A 91-year-old man was found dead walking outside his home on Christmas night, according to Ty Blackwell, deputy coroner for the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.
A coroner identified the man as Marvin Eugene Henry of Anderson.
The coroner said Henry left his home around 10 p.m. Sunday night to try to fix a broken water pipe. Henry then went back inside to change his wet clothes and went back outside to work, he said.
Lawmakers and K-9 officers searched the area of Hartview Circle on Monday after Henry was reported missing.
A representative said Henry’s body was found not far from his home shortly after 2:30 pm on Monday.
According to the coroner, Henry had been wet and had been exposed to extreme temperatures overnight.
