The body of Charles Hugh Crooks was found in the backyard of Fuquay Varina hours after the plane he was co-piloting made an emergency landing at Raleigh-Durham International Airport. Reports on his death show multiple fractures and damage to his heart, lungs, and other internal organs, although there were no drugs or alcohol in his system at the time of his death.
Crooks, 23, and his co-pilot made two skydives on July 29 and attempted to land at Rayford West Airport to pick up a third group, the National Transportation Safety Board reported. .
