The sandy beach itself may be your first stop, but there’s no shortage of fun activities to jump right into. Live music, theatres, water sports and plenty of dining and shopping spots are just some of the things you can do in Myrtle Beach.

    Neighboring Sullivan Island, Isle of Palms Baroshima Island Located just off the Atlantic coast of South Carolina. The town is located about 24 km from the historic city. Charleston, boasts picturesque beaches and promenades. The community also has several large beachfront homes, luxury resorts, and local restaurants. Offering plenty of recreational activities, the Isle of Palms is the perfect place to enjoy the island lifestyle any time of the year.

    Edisto Beach

    In the small town of Edisto Beach, located at the southeastern tip of Colleton County, South Carolina, Edisto Island Developed coastal areas only. It’s also one of the calmest beaches, perfect for long walks, fishing, searching for shells and sunbathing. There are no hotels, but rental opportunities are plentiful and several beach houses line the coastline.

    Cherry Grove Beach

    Located in the city of North Myrtle Beach in Horley County, South Carolina, Cherry Grove is accessible only from the Sea Mountain Highway and Ocean Drive. This small neighborhood is known primarily for its historic Cherry Grove Pier and its many hotels, restaurants and boutiques. Cherry Grove is the ideal place for a quiet getaway.

    Seabrook Island is a barrier island located in the southwestern part of Charleston County. Seabrook Island boasts the privacy and tranquility of a small town, yet close to everything you need. With miles of beaches to enjoy, this is the perfect place to immerse yourself in nature.

    Folly Beach

    Folly Beach is a famous surfing and seaside hotspot on Folly Island, about 11 miles south of Charleston. As well as hosting several surf he spots, the city offers spectacular sunset and sunrise views. It’s also home to the Folly Beach Pier, which extends over 1,000 feet into the ocean and offers picturesque views of the ocean. Looking down over the North Atlantic, some visitors even see endangered whales each season of their migration. The beautiful Morris Island Lighthouse is also right on the beach, perfect for exploring and photography.

    Huntington Beach State Park

    This 2,500-acre state park is located near Murrells Inlet in Georgetown County, South Carolina. The park has large sandy beaches, extensive freshwater and saltmarshes, and an abundance of birdlife for seasonal viewing.

    Coligny Beach

    Coligny Beach is one of Hilton Head Island’s most famous beaches. Visitors can enjoy sandy beaches and clear skies at Coligny Beach. Serving as the access point to Coligny Beach, Coligny Beach Park offers many great facilities for locals and visitors alike.

    Kiawah Island

    A barrier island about 25 miles southwest of Charleston, Kiawah is primarily a private beach and golf resort. Kiawah Island is famous for its many attractions including its beaches, spacious villas, water sports activities and the famous Kiawah Island Golf Resort. There are 10 miles of beaches and 30 miles of paved trails for biking and walking. Kayaking and canoeing are available on the Kiawah River, which runs along the island’s myriad mudflats and salt marshes.

    With approximately 2,876 miles of tidal coastline, South Carolina has many beaches. Whether you want to sit and relax in the sun, swim in the sparkling waters, or enjoy the attractions at each beach, there is always something for everyone.
