A woman was arrested after a man was shot in Pickens County. The PCSO received a call around 8:50 p.m. Friday about a suspicious person lying on the road near Highway 123 in Easley, according to an agent, according to the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office. When authorities arrived at the scene, they said they found the man with a gunshot wound to the lower torso. Paramedics took the man to Prisma Health’s Greenville Memorial Hospital, where he underwent surgery and is now in stable condition, agents said. Simon was charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon in a violent crime, his attorney said. She is currently being held without bail at the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office detention center, they said.

Rene Lavonne-Simon, 55, has been arrested in connection with the shooting, according to an agent.
Simon was charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon in a violent crime, his attorney said.
She is currently being held without bail at the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office detention center, they said.
