When you look in the mirror, do you like what you see? Missouri hasn’t had most of the season. i went on saturday. But instead of a mirror, the Tigers only looked across the line of scrimmage to see themselves.

The Tigers traveled all over the country but still found themselves in Colombia. Then they lined up for 60 minutes opposite the team that made the best impression in Missouri (before Saturday). The Tigers will return to Columbia’s .500 football team, largely because South Carolina became Missou on the very day Missou finally quit itself. Or at least a version of itself that was for most of the season.

All season, Missouri was close. A stifling defense keeps the Tigers in the game. But inappropriate attacks weren’t profitable enough. Tigers are hanging out. they make it funny. But penalties, mistakes, turnovers, inaccurate passes, or sifting the offensive line derail the effort. It’s not always the same, but there is always something.

Finally on Saturday, the shoes are on the feet of the opponent.

Missouri nearly doubled Gamecocks from 367 to 203 yards. By the end of the day, the penalties had nearly evened out and the Tigers had actually pulled one flag he had already. However, committing just six was an improvement for the Tigers, with most players looking like he had one defensive drive at the end of the first half. They weren’t as lame as the ones South Carolina committed. One of them he disabled interception. Hey, no one said all calls were right.

The Tigers were derailed by an offense that set back too often on first downs and barely gained enough yards on third downs. Against the Gamecocks, Missouri were 8/16 on third down and in the second quarter he included five conversions of his six in the first en route to a 17-0 lead. South Carolina were just 5/13 in the same situation, a third a length created by the Missouri defense that was putting the Gamecocks back on 1st and 2nd down.

After the defense forced a punt in the sixth of South Carolina’s ninth drive, the Missouri offense got the ball back with 10:23. It hit the ground six minutes and eight seconds behind the clock, leaving South Carolina with more than despair.

Dominic Lovett recorded 10 catches on 10 targets for 148 yards (Jeff Blake).

The most obvious, of course, is that Missouri quarterbacks outperformed South Carolina quarterbacks. Spencer Rattler Was a high school All-American, five-star, and (assumed) one-time Heisman contender. Eli Drinkwitz You might want to be his quarterback.Instead, it Brady Cooka highly infamous third-year sophomore that Mizzou fans try to send to the bench at every opportunity.

The two have really come into the game this season with roughly the same stat line. The only real difference is the win or loss, and while the quarterback isn’t everything, it’s usually put on him more than anyone else but the coach. On this day, he ended up going 17-26 for 224 yards. It was Cook who became Ratler he went 171-20-30. Each quarterback had a touchdown run, but Cook had 53 yards to Ratler’s minus two. And he had only two turnovers from Carolina’s signal callers.

Cook was an excellent quarterback. No one who saw it objected.

“He’s had a lot of bullshit and criticism,” Drinkwitz said in a post-fight interview with SEC Network. “That dude showed up and got a top 25 win on the Tour. That guy deserves a lot of kudos this week.”

This game was simple. Missouri, including Cook, avoided the mistakes they made to launch torpedoes all season. South Carolina did not. Oh how the turntable turned. South Carolina is Missouri, and Missouri was finally on the right side of things Saturday night. Honestly, Missouri and South Carolina had pretty similar seasons up until this point. However, the Gamecocks took advantage of the opposition’s mistakes, so at 5-2, he was ranked 25th in the country, while Mizow he was 3-4.

South Carolina couldn’t get out of their way on Saturday, and Missouri played less-than-perfect but relatively clean football. In the process, Missouri executed its game plan to success for the first time. The attack was not big. Can’t beat Tennessee in track and field. It’s not going to put out 50. Still red he has zone issues and a relative lack of explosive play that could suddenly make kickers a question mark. But if Mizuu can get away on his own and eliminate mistakes on offense, it’s enough to make a bowl game. It might be enough for 7 wins.

Defense leads there. The offense welcomes you to join the ride throughout the season. On Saturday night, we finally got our seats and were the winners, while the other team made a mistake and were the losers.

This one seemed better. Missouri should do it more often.
