Chapel Hill, North Carolina – The North Carolina Rowing Program announced its 2023 schedule Wednesday afternoon. The slate, featuring four regular season events and the ACC Championship, will start in just over a month.
Head coach Erin Kneppel said, “We have some opportunities to compete against teams that have great success. It’s important to meet the team, and because of my schedule, I can do that.It always goes by so quickly, so I’m looking forward to what I can achieve this year.”
The season begins on March 4th, when the Tar Heels travel to Clemson, South Carolina for the Carolina Cup. This season, UNC will be in the Carolina Cup for his eighth straight year. Next, North Carolina will head south on March 31 and he will head south to the Sunshine State He Invitational in Sarasota, Florida.
The Tar Heels will host the Lake Wheeler Invitational on April 21-22 at Lake Wheeler in nearby Raleigh. To wrap up the regular season, UNC travels north to Charlottesville, Virginia for the UVA Invitational.
For the first time in conference history, the ACC Rowing Championships will be held May 12-13 at Wheeler Lake.
