ATLANTA (AP) — Terquavion Smith scored 25 points and Jarkel Joiner added 19 points as North Carolina State University beat Georgia Tech 78-66 on Tuesday night to extend their fourth straight win.

Georgia Tech trailed 59-47 but cut the deficit to 63-57 with 6:16 remaining. He answered with a 12-2 run against North Carolina State for a 75-59 lead with 2:42 remaining. Smith hit a pair of three-pointers and Joyner made four free throws during the stretch.

Smith had 9 of 17 goals, made 4 3-pointers, had 5 assists and 2 blocks. Joyner shot 5-of-11 and made all nine free throws.

Casey Morsell added 12 points and DJ Burns Jr. scored 10 points for NC State (15-4, 5-3 ACC). Mauser also blocked his three shots, Including those that lead to joiner dunks.

Jaron Moore led Georgia Tech with 17 points and eight rebounds (8-10, 1-7). His four others each added his nine points to his yellow jacket.

Georgia Tech built a 10-point lead five minutes into the game before jumping 8-2 to give North Carolina State the lead with 1:29 remaining in the first half.

North Carolina will play North Carolina on Saturday. Georgia Tech hosts Syracuse on Saturday.
