A man was killed in a shooting early Friday morning and his neighbor was arrested at 3:45 a.m. at the house Martinez lived on Manhattan Boulevard. Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene. Greenville County Sheriff’s Office Ryan Flood said his neighbor Dennis Rodney Ferguson, 38, was arrested and charged with murder and possession of a weapon for violent crimes. He is being held at the Greenville County Jail.
A man was killed in a shooting early Friday morning and a neighbor was arrested, an agent said.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office has confirmed that 22-year-old Fidel Alzate Martinez of Piedmont died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Lawmakers received a call about a shooting at the house Martinez lived on Manhattan Boulevard around 3:45 a.m.
Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene.
Greenville County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Ryan Flood said his neighbor, Dennis Rodney Ferguson, 38, was arrested and charged with violent crime murder and possession of a weapon.
Flood said the two men were arguing before the shooting.
Ferguson is being held at the Greenville County Jail.
