The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the fatal shooting. They responded to Wade Hampton Boulevard and Edwards Mill Road around 4 p.m., agents said. The coroner identified the victim as Betty Diane Amick, 76. The subject is being investigated and the incident appears to have been quarantined, according to a representative.

When deputies arrived, they found a passenger inside the vehicle with at least one gunshot wound, according to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office.
A coroner identified the victim as Betty Diane Amick, 76.
The coroner said Amick was pronounced dead at a nearby location.
Persons of interest are being investigated and the case appears to be isolated, agents said.
Deputies say anyone with information about the case has been asked to call Greenville Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.
