An elderly man died Sunday morning following a fatal accident, according to the Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office.

The coroner said the crash occurred on East Main Street in Duncan on Sunday morning.
The coroner identified the victim as Moore’s Fred William Burnett Sr., 90.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Burnett was hit by a car while exiting a driveway onto East Main Street.

Troopers said Barnett was pronounced dead at the scene.

They said another car driver was taken to hospital. Nothing is said about their condition.

The coroner says a forensic examination will take place on Monday.
