They saw the opportunity when they saw a location on the market near Heywood Road, off I-385 for him in Greenville. “I thought maybe, maybe, this was going to be a story that God would write,” said Butler, who during his existence was the subject of more than 1,000 calls to his 911 calls at the Gentlemen’s Club. is a former platinum his plus site. The crew had been working on Thursday to demolish the interior of the building and remove the superficial structure. “When I think about this building and what it used to be, and perhaps the heartache, disappointment, and families who struggled as a result of this building, and now think of this building as a beacon of hope for our community. It binds families together, puts the broken back together, saves the lost, feeds the hungry. Hope Church plans to complete renovations by the end of the year.

It is the former Platinum Plus site, a gentlemen’s club that has been the subject of over 1,000 911 calls during its existence.

It was closed in 2015 after a sting operation by the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office. Eventually, the building became Bucks, Lux and Lib, which closed in 2022 after his five-year legal battle with the county.

Hope Church officially closed on the grounds in November.

Crew members are already working on remodeling the building. The outside looks very different.

The building is now just over 20,000 square feet. Hope Church will add about 12,000 more square feet to make room for classrooms.

Crews were dismantling the building’s interior on Thursday, removing superficial structures.
