Raleigh, NC (WTVD) — The current average gasoline price in North Carolina is currently at $3.28, up 17 cents in a week, according to the US. American Automobile Association.

“This is 35 cents over a month ago,” said AAA spokesperson Tiffany Wright. “Gasoline demand is low at this time of year, but if oil prices rise, it will affect prices,” he said.

As of Saturday, the national average gas price was $3.40, up 2 cents overnight.

The AAA said gas demand moved little last week, according to Energy Information Administration data.

But in Durham County, where the county average is higher than the state average, Michael Newman said he struggles to keep up with fluctuating prices.

“Gas prices are high and gas prices are going up,” Neumann said. “I went down once, but it came right back up. I don’t know… I’m sick of it.”

For Andres Camejo, who pays for his car once a week, fluctuating prices are “not too bad,” but enough to affect his monthly budget.

“Sometimes it’s really hard, but you just adjust and that’s it,” Kamejo said.

Gas prices rose in some states, but remained stable for now in others, he said. gas buddy.

North Carolina is one of the 10 states with the biggest increase in average from last week.

“Oil prices could continue to rise this week if there are indications in the market that global oil demand could be pushed higher along with prices in 2023,” the AAA said.
