One of five players to score in double figures for Charleston, Boron shot 10 of 16 and cougar Also recorded 2 assists. Ante Brzovic and Pat Robinson III each scored 12 points, while Raekwon Horton and Ben Burnham both scored 11 points.
Cam Woods scored a career-high 30 points to lead NC A&T (6-10, 1-2). Duncan Powell added his 20 points for the Aggies and Marcus Watson scored his 12 points and his 12 boards.
NC A&T jumped out to a 5-point lead early on, but Charleston roared to tie the game, using a 26-6 run to give them a 22-point advantage going into halftime. Ryan Larson and Bolon each scored eight points in that stretch.
Charleston led by as much as 30 points in the second half and pushed the advantage with a 12-5 run. Five different Cougars scored in that span.
Charleston: After trailing by a few points early on, Charleston used the CAA’s highest scoring offense (80.5 points per game) to pull away from the Aggies. In this game, Charleston used his depth and athleticism to push the pace and attempted his season-high 77 shots from the floor. Dunks and layups were also important as the Cougars outscored the Aggies 52-38 in the paint.
NC A&T: The Aggies have lost six of their last eight games, and their schedule isn’t going to be easy. NC A&T has been in another conference for the third time he’s been in three years, jumping from MEAC to Big South and now he’s CAA. This league might be the toughest league ever.
