Subtropical Nicole Brings Rain to Parts of South Carolina, Georgia This Week
Happy Monday. Be prepared for very warm days. We’re talking record-breaking highs for this date. We get close to 80 degrees. And throughout the week we’re going to cool down steadily. Rain on Friday and freezing for some by the end of the weekend. As such, the week is set to start with record highs and end with overnight lows in the 30s. Let’s take a quick look. His GSP high today is 78 degrees. By the way, Asheville predicts 80. The 76 degrees is close to tying that record today. A record set in 1890. So this is very rare. In fact, the tropics continue to heat up as well. There are two tropical systems. One is east of Bermuda. This is moving away from us. Here is what I want to talk about. This is a region of low pressure that is better organized as we speak.300 miles southeast of the Bahamas. This is projected to move northwest and will very likely affect the weather heading into the weekend. What will those effects be? Well it will be some much needed rainfall. prize. Let’s start with what’s happening now. We have a system in the west. We may see some light showers today, but overall I think it will be very hot and very muggy, much like the weekend. This front system pushes through. Behind it is cooler air. So tomorrow’s temperature will be more seasonal, although temperatures will continue to drop towards the middle of the week. Now comes Thursday night. Notice that the clouds start to thicken. This is the tropical disturbance we see. From late Thursday to early Friday, we approached the coast, moved across the Midlands, and by Friday, rain started very early on Friday, and really all day, 2:00, 3:00, Saturday morning. It can last until 4:00. And most of it leaves us on Saturday and Sunday. So there’s a lot going on with a very active weather pattern. we start first. Let’s start with the required amount of rain. It’s 12:30, Friday afternoon. It will rain mostly this morning and it will be cold. SO 0.5 inch to 1 inch of rain. But we’ll probably get 3 inches of rain as we head into Friday afternoon and Friday night. Again, the further east you live, the more rain you see in this system. At least, that’s what it looks like now. In the meantime, let’s talk about these temperatures. Today’s high is around 80 and tomorrow it will drop to 7D. What about 64-day highs? That’s about where we should be on Wednesday, Thursday. On Veterans Day, a spike in humidity warms up on Friday, but then quickly cools down, with daytime highs in the 50s on Sunday.that’s all
